Responsibilities Position Summary: Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient medical office, physician clinic or OB office setting (If operational conditions exist and no qualified candidates apply, the employer may consider a combination of education, experience and skill in lieu of the (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant) Medical terminology Ability to communicate and understand English Current BLS certification Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in a related field (2) years of experience in a clinical setting Medical Assistant certification
