    Director of Housing


    Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) provide clinical interventions and peer and family support to facilitate engagement, support functioning and maximize symptom stabilization and self-management of individuals and to assist individuals in developing skills, establishing natural supports and resources to live successfully in the community.

    As a member of the ACCS management team, the Director of Housing will provide oversight and mentorship to Housing Coordinators across ACCS contracts.

    The Director of Housing will:

    • be responsible for orienting new Housing Coordinators, providing consultation to Housing Coordinators and other ACCS staff and managers, educating them and Persons using ACCS services about tenancy issues, housing rights, and resources
    • support Housing Coordinators in their duties as they assist Persons with applying for and attaining subsidies
    • work with Persons to secure housing that meets their needs and will guide the Person in learning the skills necessary to maintain community housing
    • provide some direct support to Persons using ACCS services as needed
    • will work with Group Living Environment (GLE) House Managers, GLE Directors, ACCS Clinicians, and ACCS management (ACCS Program Directors and Clinical Directors) to help facilitate and nurture a culture of movement in the GLE's
    • serve as the primary point of contact for developing relationships with landlords, housing authorities, and DMH Area housing staff, to foster communication and provide advocacy
    • guide and mentor Housing Coordinators in developing and maintaining relationships with landlords and housing authorities at the local level as appropriate
    • assist other CLS division programs such as PACT and Clubhouses in any housing related matters

    Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday

    Pay Rate: $70,719.79/year

    Required Skills

    • Demonstrated knowledge of tenant’s rights, Massachusetts landlord tenant laws, and common real estate practices
    • Familiarity with State and Federal subsidy programs
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environment
    • Strong computer skills, particularly in the use of Excel
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) and present effectively to the public
    • Valid driver’s license and available, dependable transportation and be willing to provide transportation to persons served in personal vehicle, as needed

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience
    • Housing advocacy experience preferred
    • Property management experience preferred
