    JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

    We are looking for a talented and energetic Plant Manager to help us to drive an overall improvement in profitability and customer satisfaction. This leader will direct the coordination of all plant activities related to safety, quality, and productivity.

    The ideal candidate will be exceptionally decisive, detail-oriented, and able to lead a team, serving as a partner between upper management and the functions of the plant. You must be dedicated to achieving operational excellence with genuine leadership skills.

    JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    Improved operational effectiveness

    • Generate and implement strategic visions to create and improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility.

    • Using Lean manufacturing concepts, initiate plans and process which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of staff, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.

    • Report any potential Safe Quality Foods (SQF) concerns or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

    • Understand budgeting development to support overall financial goals. Offer suggestions to meet or improve the budget.

    • Ensure customer specifications are consistently met or exceeded.

    • Understand spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.

    • Meet or exceed standards for safety, quality, and environmental.

    Development

    • Identify areas of vulnerability, develop and implement an action plan to develop the skills and expertise of the talent to achieve long-term business objectives.
    • Partners with HR to develop a successful pipeline of talent.

    Drive Culture initiatives that focus on employee engagement.

    • Support company initiatives to become an Employer of choice.
    • Drive initiatives to improve company culture, leadership style, and employee engagement to attract and retain new talent.
    • Promote teamwork and collaboration.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    BA or BS in operations management, business, engineering or related field.

    Minimum 5 years plant operations or engineering experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

    1+ years of experience as a Plant Manager or an Operations Manager.

    Exceptional leadership and managerial attributes.

    Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

    Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.

    Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Finance concepts.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Proficient in Excel.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Master’s degree

    Black belt certification and/or Lean Manufacturing experience

    Proficient in SAP
