    DePuy Synthes, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Product Management Co-op to support the TECA (Trauma, Extremities, CMF, & Animal Health) Supply Chain Product Management (SCPM) Team.

    This individual will be part of the DePuy Synthes Supply Chain Product Management (SCPM) group. They will support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring continuity of supply by leading and/or participating in complex tasks that require influencing and cross-functional communication. They will also support continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and improve Time to Market for the project pipeline.

     

    Co-op Expectations, Responsibilities, & Project Details:

    • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Commercial, Suppliers, and Strategic Collaborator manufacturing sites in order to drive supply chain execution of new product launches.
    • Support assigned NPI projects/tasks and actively participate in core team meetings, activities/deliverables, project plan development, and updates to management.
    • Collaboration within the Product Management team and with other Supply Chain functions (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver) to deliver process improvements.
    • Gather and provide manufacturing engineering inputs into the design of new product to ensure it will meet business metrics including cost and gross profit margins.
    • Participate in site/supplier selection processes. Collaborate with internal functions and suppliers to finalize product design, material selection & process selection.
    • Project work may be assigned based on candidate’s background and successful completion of tasks.
    • Establish and foster collaboration and partnership internally and externally.
    • Maintain high levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times
  • Qualifications
    • Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
    • A current Drexel University student pursuing a BS degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Supply Chain Management.
    • Highly motivated and can work independently on one or multiple projects under general direction and can exhibit an attention to detail.
    • Interest in medical device/orthopedic/veterinary fields.
    • A good sense of priorities and manages time well.
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience presenting in front of audiences and attending meetings both face to face and virtually.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project is a plus.
    • Possess the ability to root cause analysis to business and/or engineering problems is a plus
