As a FORKLIFT OPERATOR with LIBERTY PACKAGING QUAD CITIES, you will join a team of dedicated production and machine operators from diverse backgrounds who are committed to safety & quality and take great pride in our company.

This full-time position reports directly to the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Rock Island, Illinois.

HOURS/SHIFT: This position is 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)

Required Skills

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Move stock and load production lines within the warehouse or production facility
• Operate lift truck, hoist, or other material handling equipment
• Store/retrieve product/materials in the right location
• Monitor and maintain material/product quality
• Operate simple machinery and hand tools

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 1-2 years of forklift experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Mobile equipment certified or willing to become certified
• Ability to follow demonstrated or written work instructions such as machine-related operations, capabilities, light maintenance and safety requirements
• Ability to read work instructions (i.e. SOP’s, Specs, etc.)
• Ability to withstand continuous sitting; occasional pushing, pulling, bending and/or stooping; and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
