  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Maintains and monitors daily operation of program(s) including the scheduling of direct care associates to ensure proper staffing ratios. Handles emergency responses within assigned authority.
    • Substitutes for direct care associates, as needed. Provides assistance with personal care for participants which may include feeding, grooming or toileting.
    • Monitors, updates and maintains participant case notes files and attendance records.
    • Conducts group observations.
    • Maintains administrative documentation associated with designated program(s).
    • Coordinates Individual Service Plans and associates meetings. May attend meetings outside of agency.
    • Assists with the development of the participant’s Individual Support Plan, and Individual Program Plan.
    • May be required to transport program participants depending on program design and location.
    • May process intakes and assessments of approved participant referrals.
    • Monitors and assists with staff training needs.
    • Other assignments that may need the associate’s expertise, knowledge or ability so as to allow the completion of the assignment.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Two (2) years work experience in related field.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, with all levels of staff and the general public.
    • Ability to properly interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations. 
    • Ability to provide assistance with personal care to participants, including ability to transfer an individual who has no weight-bearing skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel for extended periods of time. Ability to push wheel chairs on a variety of terrain.
    • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance per Easter Seals Southern California and/or program requirements.
    • Ability to pass post-offer medical examination.
    • Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications.
    • Ability to travel locally. Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver license, clean driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration. Appropriate vehicle for transportation of program participants if program requires.

    Additional Information

    Assists with the scheduling and coordination of routine activities required to provide services to the program participants and comply with the program design.
