THE HSP is funded through a contract with the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services and services are provided by a talented and dedicated group of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Adapted Physical Education Specialists, and Orientation and Mobility Assistants. The HSP supports quality of life and care for residents, maximizing their level of skill development, while promoting residents capacity to maintain their functional ability across varied environmental settings. Principal Duties: Provides comprehensive assessments for mobility, equipment recommendations, safety, positioning, and independence Develops and implements therapy program/support strategy, evaluates the program/support strategy and makes recommendations for changes as appropriate Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructs, encourages, and assists residents in performing physical activities Determines the need and orders program equipment and supplies, adaptive equipment, and environmental control devices; trains direct care staff, family and other clinical staff in its use Clinical supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants assigned to caseload Actively participates in individuals centered/interdisciplinary meetings, clinics, in-service trainings, and the prescription maintenance and fabrication of adaptive and orthotic and orthopedic devices and equipment Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives Completes all required documentation, reports, and statistics according to schedule Position Type: Part-time Positions Available: 1 Job Categories : Special Education > Physical Therapist Student Services > Physical Therapist Welcome to Wrentham Dev Center/Habilitative Svcs!
