  • Responsibilities

    Assist with the development of new and renewal business in the Broker/Agent Division, including proposal and policy issuance activities, review of submissions for completeness, and additional follow‑up with producers as directed. Assist in the development of the sales proposal components. Communicate new account and renewal information to affected departments and personnel. Assist in resolving customer service issues and address unique service requests from producers and policyholders.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSILBILITIES

     New business and renewals

    Assist in the development of new and renewal business, gathering and reviewing preliminary information for underwriting (including risk management); pricing, products, line services, and new markets; corporate services; accounting; and claims responses and coordinating proposal and policy issuance activities with internal departments.

    Review producer's submission and follow up to ensure that complete and accurate information is received.  Maintain Division 30/35 Prevail information to ensure accuracy of risk.  Submission items to review may include:

    • Property, liability, automobile, and workers' compensation spreadsheets.
    • Premium audits.
    • Claims history and loss runs.
    • Risk management reports and inspections.

    Assist in the distribution of submitted information to Broker/Agent Division underwriting and service teams.

    Work with Underwriting (including Risk Management); Pricing, Products, Line Services, and New Markets; Corporate Services; Accounting; and Claims to develop the components of the sales proposal, including pricing, unique coverage, and service offerings.

    Prepare proposals and assist in communication to the producer.

    With direction from the Underwriter and Broker/Agent Senior Support Specialist, process new and renewal business, including endorsements, annualizations, and transactions accurately and within established time frames.

    Work with Document Services to issue and print the policy form/jacket; deliver the policy to the producer and/or policyholder.

    Establish and maintain relationships with customers and brokers.

    Service

    • As directed, notify affected departments and key personnel of the terms of new accounts/renewals.
    • As directed, assist in coordinating development and delivery of unique product and service offerings/arrangements.
    • As directed, act as liaison between various Church Mutual departments and the producer and/or policyholder to resolve service‑related issues.

    Miscellaneous

    • As directed, prepare and issue certificates of insurance to verify property coverages and limits.
    • Input of specific information on preestablished reports based on insured's request or internal needs.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Assist in the development of new and renewal business opportunities.
    • Review submissions for completeness, following up as necessary to obtain needed information.
    • As directed, process new and renewal business, including endorsements, annualizations, and transactions accurately and within established time frames.
    • Assist in resolving customer service issues.
    • Maintain an insurance license in good standing.

    Required Experience

    • A minimum of two years' property/casualty insurance experience. Knowledge of insurance processing, underwriting, claims, or sales with an insurance carrier, adjusting firm, or agency/broker. Experience with large national accounts is desirable.

     

    EDUCATION

    • Insurance courses, such as INS, AU, or CPCU, are desirable.
