    We are currently searching for an Industry Analyst. 

     

    JOB SUMMARY:

     

    The Industry Market Analyst or Industry Analyst works with the commercial team to provide industry and market intelligence data to support business decisions. He/she develops models and analysis of market research. Manages data and interprets input from the marketplace and recommends actionable strategies that create competitive advantage for the business. Collaborates with other marketing team members to develop and maintain market roadmaps. Consults with Industry Managers in identifying new adjacent markets and product opportunities and assists in developing and implementing sales and marketing campaigns. Develops and maintains relationships with external market experts and customers to monitor competitive developments and recommend corrective action to marketing plans. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Conduct market research and perform competitive intelligence in order to identify market segments / target companies in the relevant industry to pursue
    • Monitors market trends, industry drivers and updates stakeholders on a regular basis.
    • Analyzes customer activity – i.e. internal expertise, intellectual property portfolios, new products, new investments, proposed joint ventures, merger and acquisitions, partnerships, product pipeline, new technologies, etc.
    • Develops industry and customer segmentation and refresh quantification of market size: TAM, SAM, SOM.
    • Builds a network of external relationships across a broad cross section of the industry in order to leverage product market knowledge and expertise.
    • Monitors and proactively reports on strategies and tactics of key competitors and industry peers; identifies emerging market segments, technological trends, competitive environment and game-changing opportunities along with external competitive threats.
    • Identifies key industry events, conferences, and shows that would be beneficial for GT to participate in.
    • Through innovative and objective analysis, enables deep business understanding of current and new customer insights, competitive environment, opportunity sizes and market trends.
    • Builds market and business intelligence models aiding in sales forecasting, understanding market conditions and its impact on Greene Tweed.
    • Create and track the market indices, including selection and validation of leading indicators that would give guidance to future forecasting.
    • Develop and maintain market roadmaps in collaboration with Market Insight Leaders
    • Partner with product marketing on Voice of Customer and quantifying NPD opportunities.
    • Recommends external sources of research data to management.
    • Collaborates with Sales managers Platform Managers, Product Managers, and other Marketing team members in developing and implementing marketing plans, planning & executing campaigns.

     

      

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s in Marketing Analysis or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred

     

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

    • 7+ years marketing experience in a business; technology-based business experience a plus
    • Previous B2B industry and technical experience in related functions (e.g., market research, business strategy)
    • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
    • Demonstrated influence management capability;
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills; ability to summarize large amounts of data into meaningful insights and recommendations for executives and business leaders,
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, including mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Excellent networking, collaborative and interpersonal skills
    • Business Acumen and Managerial Courage - proven ability to influence management decision
    • Ability to effectively work on multiple projects with demanding deadlines in a team environment
    • Initiative, commitment to excellence, resourcefulness, and reliability
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel modeling, statistical software, survey design software, and tabulation software a plus
