Hiring Now for a new contract starting Aug 1. We are searching for a Modeling and Simulation Architecture Lead to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be a thought-leader in Live/Virtual/Constructive simulation. The primary responsibility of the position will be helping craft the vision and roadmap of products while ensuring that features meet the cutting edge for multi-domain modeling and simulation.

The successful candidate will support the development and integration of multiple simulation frameworks including (but not limited to) AFSIM, ITASE and NGTS. The candidate will also be a team lead of both on-site and remote developers, ensuring that execution on a large portfolio of M&S products meet professional quality standards.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Math, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
• Active DoD security clearance

Required Experience

• Five or more years development experience with modern C++ (11 or higher)
• Extensive experience developing within the AFSIM, ITASE and/or NGTS frameworks or other DoD modeling and simulation products
• Experience in architecting an enterprise simulation portfolio
• Experience providing vision for software products such as modeling and simulation frameworks, pre/post-processing tooling, state of the art user-interfaces, and resource management software for design of experiments (DoE), etc
• Publications and/or conference presentations on simulation

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A background in the military or defense-related work is desired
• M&S experience related to sensors, radars, electronic warfare, fusion, C2, air defense, communication devices, cyber, satellites, or related area
• Experience developing or integrating physics-based models in simulation frameworks
• Experience with Qt and cross-platform software development
• Experience with architectural design patterns
• Experience in developing analysis tools and graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
• Experience in 3D visualization tools
• Experience with HLA and DIS
