As a Web Development Intern , you will be responsible for assisting Intrepid’s Information Technology (IT) team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Write custom HTML, PHP, and CSS for existing websites and applications.

· Build, program, test APIs to interface with or between applications

· Good understanding of AWS Linux – based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL

· Working with WordPress for external websites

· Security best practices

· Modernize where possible

· Certificate renewals, generation, configuration

· Design, recommend and pitch improvements to new and existing features.

· Assist in troubleshooting issues on web-based systems.

· Update and edit website content, posts and pages.

· Provide technical support related to web-based systems to internal teams.

· Test and give feedback on new and existing technologies.

· Other duties as assigned

INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be available 20 hours each week through Summer 2025
• Must be a full-time undergraduate/graduate student in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Maintain good (digital) citizenship.
• Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all Intrepid policies.
• Strong writing skills.
• Preference given to students with working knowledge of TCP/IP, Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and web design.
• Preference given to students enrolled with a concentration in Information Technology or Computer Science.
