Job Summary: Provides assistance to the department clinical staff by monitoring and providing documentation of patients requiring direct visual observation. Essential Job Functions: 1.Provides observation and documentation for patients requiring direct and indirect visual observation related to medical and/or behavioral conditions. 2.Redirects patient behavior as needed to promote patient safety. 3.Engages patient in diversion activities as needed. 4.Provides assistance to the unit assigned at the direction of clinical staff. 5.Assists with stocking of department 6.Accountable for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability. Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes.
