Visiting Angels is looking for an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled caregiver to join our Eugene team in a unique full-time, on-call position. This role is an important part of ensuring our Clients receive consistent care when unexpected needs arise. You may provide coverage for Caregiver call-outs, assist with new Client starts, relieve another Caregiver, or step into other assignments requiring an experienced Caregiver. You will serve Clients throughout Eugene, Springfield, and surrounding areas generally within a 50-mile radius of our Eugene office. This position guarantees 40 hours of pay per week, whether all 40 hours are worked or not, provided the availability and other requirements of the position are met. Schedule & Availability
On-call availability is required Monday through Friday for Client assignments generally occurring between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Some assignments may require you to begin slightly earlier than 7:00 a.m. or remain with a Client beyond 10:00 p.m. based on Client care and coverage needs.
You must remain reachable and respond promptly when contacted by the office.
You must be prepared to report to Client assignments promptly, generally within approximately 30 minutes when reasonably practicable.
When not assigned to a Client, you may engage in personal activities but must remain available and prepared to respond when needed.
What You'll Do Our On-Call Caregiver must be experienced and comfortable providing a wide range of care, including:
Personal care and activities of daily living
Support services and companionship
Dementia care at varying levels
Bed-bound care
Hospice and end-of-life care
Medication administration in accordance with training, company policy, and applicable requirements
Client transfers, including Hoyer lifts, repositioning in bed, and other applicable assistive equipment
Client transportation when required
Relief and support for other Caregivers
You will also observe and communicate changes in Client needs, safety concerns, or other important information to our office team and complete required Client documentation accurately and timely. What We're Looking For Prior professional caregiving experience is required. The ideal candidate is:

A team player who works well with Clients, families, Caregivers, and office staff
Comfortable providing professional care to Clients with varying personalities, backgrounds, needs, and genders
Able to adapt quickly when entering unfamiliar Client homes or care situations
Transportation Requirements A valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation are required. Your vehicle must be suitable for Client transportation when needed and allow Clients to safely and reasonably enter and exit the vehicle. Eligible mileage is reimbursed for travel between Clients and authorized use of your personal vehicle for work purposes. Additional Position Benefits
