    We are searching for the best talent for an Experienced Scientist, Viral Vector Downstream Process to be located in Spring House, PA.

    Purpose:

    The Experienced Scientist, Viral Vector Downstream Process position in the Cell Therapy Platform & Discovery group of Therapeutics Discovery offers an exciting opportunity to help develop novel Cell & Gene Therapies for unmet medical needs. We are investigating the use of engineered viral vectors for ex vivo and in vivo gene delivery to T cells to treat cancer. We are seeking a highly motivated downstream process scientist to develop and implement vector purification strategies to enable preclinical studies. Do you have industry experience with downstream viral vector process development and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional team?     You will be responsible for:

    • Design, optimize, and execute downstream purification processes to improve yield, purity, and stability of lentiviral vectors (LVV)
    • Independently operate and maintain chromatography and filtration systems (e.g., TFF, depth filtration) for virus purification
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of purified, quality-controlled vector lots to support preclinical studies
    • Maintain detailed records for vector productions and process development experiments to ensure traceability and data integrity
    • Contribute to a collaborative, creative, and rigorous culture of scientific discovery

    Qualifications:

    • BS or MS in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Virology, Biology, or related field with 2+ years of related experience is required. Industry experience is preferred.
    • Experience with viral vector downstream processing methods, including column chromatography (Akta), is required
    • Expertise in LVV purification is preferred
    • Familiarity with analytical techniques for lentiviral vectors is preferred
    • Strong critical, scientific, and strategic thinking skills are required
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel, are required
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams is required
    • This role may require up to 5-10% travel.
