    Dental Insurance Coordinator - Independent Contractor Extradent-Virtual Dental Office - Indianapolis, IN $10 - $17 an hour - Contract Position Summary The Dental Insurance Account Coordinator works independently by offering service and support to dental practices across the country. The Dental Insurance Account Coordinator will be accountable for assisting clients with insurance claim administration, patient benefits and perform organizational functions to ensure efficient payment and progress. Responsibilities of the Dental Insurance Account Coordinator include managing various client accounts; maintain client communication and satisfaction; complete claim follow up; benefit verification's; payment posting; claim submission and appeals. Duties would include completing client elected insurance services, contacting insurance companies to obtain requested information while maintaining confidentiality. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty as listed below. Individuals should be detailed and service orientated, fluid with technology, self-motivated, organized and a resourceful problem solver. In addition, as an independent contractor you will work from your home / virtual office. Essential Duties * Work independently from a virtual office that is quiet and has a high-speed internet connection * Manage a variety of client tasks and practice management software * Navigate time clock, communication and task software * Document work completed on spreadsheets * Log onto client computers remotely * Assist dental clients with insurance claim process and completion utilizing multiple computer / software tools * Contact insurance companies to obtain and record accurate and timely information

    • Analyze, prepare and summarize a weekly ROI statistics * Communicate directly with doctors and dental office staff * Train dental office staff on VDO processes and procedures * Achieve client satisfaction and retention * Additional or different duties may be assigned occasionally at employers discretion. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities * Ability to work remotely and independently while providing efficient, accurate results * Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation * Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including: telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software) * Maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations * Engender trust from the doctors and co-workers * Work cooperatively with management and co-workers * Prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner * Accept constructive criticism * Understand and follow written and verbal instructions * Skilled in managing multiple projects; timelines and customer service * Positive attitude that is focused on solutions and open to change * Collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and maintain confidentiality * Communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently * Quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities * Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures * Ability to perform basic math calculations. * Ability to absorb and retain detailed information. * Detail-oriented; flexible and creative. Education / Experience: College degree and / or High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of direct dental office administration experience. * Experience in dental office administration is required * Experience in the insurance industry preferred, not required Additional Details As an eligible candidate for this position, you must possess the following: * Ability to appear for work on time * Ability to perform job duties for a specific duration of time * Ability to follow directions from a supervisor * Ability to interact well with co-workers Job Type: 20 to 30 hours per week / Virtual / Work from home / Independent Contractor Background check required Preferred Experience:
