The BCIS - Behavioral Therapist position provides one-on-one or small group interventions to consumers in the home, school, or community setting when, without treatment, behaviors may require a more restrictive setting.
Position details: This is a part-time position; 35 hours a week. This position provides services at Indiana Junior High School - holidays and summers off. Candidate must be comfortable working in a school setting and travelling.
Job responsibilities of the BCIS - Behavioral Therapist:
Provides assistance in implementation a behavioral intervention plan
Provides assistance to parents or other responsible adults
Demonstrates understanding in appropriate implementation of evidence-based assessments
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of research and evidence-based practices
Utilizes relevant data to identify effective treatment interventions
Provides treatment of the whole person
Supervises response to emergency/crisis situations with team members and consumers
Participates in required meetings, evaluations, supervision and trainings
Completes all required clinical documentation
Maintains assigned, planned schedule
Maintains a commitment to professional development
Adheres to professional and ethical interaction policies and procedures
Supports on-going and future business needs
Requirements:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or similar human services field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 1 year of experience in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis preferred
