Halfaker has an opening for a PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE TEST MANAGER to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:​

• ​Serves as the Test Product Manager of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment
• Bridge the gap between legacy development for operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision
• Work with developers to ensure implementation of the best tools and ensuring system uptime and performance
• Implement modern testing tools and practices to include automated testing and monitoring tools
• Validate the outcome of the tests by comparing the browser/app measurement results and database assertions against the expected results

Required Skills

At lease one of the following testing certifications, or demonstrated comparable experience:

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
• American Software Testing Qualifications Board (ASTQB) Certification (Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced, Agile Testing, Expert)
• Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMI) Professional Certification
• Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Information System or similar field
• At least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or DevOps Engineer
• Expertise with oversight of an operations team of at least 5 people for at least one year
• Expertise in selecting and implementing modern testing tools and practices
• Demonstrated success using modern DevOps methods and tools including automated testing tools and monitoring tools
