    The Finance Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience supporting the finance and asset management functions of a growing senior living organization. This internship offers exposure to real estate finance, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. It provides an excellent foundation for students interested in pursuing a career in financial analysis, real estate, or asset management.

    Responsibilities:

    The following duties are typical for this position. This list is not all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist in preparing and analyzing financial models related to community performance and asset management.
    • Support the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple departments and locations.
    • Help compile monthly financial and operational reports for senior leadership.
    • Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual financial results.
    • Assist with real estate and market research to support investment decisions.
    • Update internal databases with financial and operational data.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for reporting and analysis.
    • Assist with the development of dashboards, charts, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Currently enrolled in a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related bachelor’s degree program (minimum sophomore year).
    • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
    • Professionalism and integrity in handling confidential financial data.

    BONUS POINTS (not required, but helpful):

    • Experience with financial modeling or budgeting tools.
    • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles or real estate finance.
