Work Hours/Shifts: Per Diem: Days and hours may vary Job Summary: The Certified Personal Trainer is responsible for providing safe and effective individual fitness and exercise programs for Fitness Center members of all ages and degrees of health. The Certified Personal Trainer is also responsible for achieving a quarterly revenue goal using client retention initiatives, industry best practices on the training floor, high levels of customer service while continuously interacting with members, and executing marketing initiatives. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required: Ability to create effective and safe exercise prescriptions Ability to obtain new clients Excellent communication skills Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology or related field or equivalent experience (preferred) 1 year customer service experience (preferred) 1 year sales experience (preferred) Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required: CPR/AED Certification Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), or National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Advanced training certification for specialized populations (preferred) Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospitals Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork as outlined in the organizations Performance Excellence Program Obtains new clients by counseling members regarding their personal fitness goals, objectives, and work outs. Assists the Fitness Manager in the development of fitness programs and services which enhance the fitness center members experience and improves member retention. Circulates through the fitness floor, engage members through encouragement and conversation, and corrects any exercises being performed incorrectly. Creates a positive and supportive experience for the fitness centre members and guests and practices excellent customer service. Assists in the development and implementation of club programs and events. Participates in all staff meetings and other required activities. Assists front desk and service teams in cleaning equipment, fitness floor, and maintaining a safe environment. Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
