Human Resources Internship Medical College of Wisconsin 177 reviews - Milwaukee, WI Part-time, Temporary, Internship Purpose Under general supervision, assist the various functional areas of Human Resources on a rotational basis including: Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Office of Faculty Affairs and Employee Relations on project work and tasks as assigned. May assist in other HR functional areas as needed. General Functions * Conduct market research to keep MCW protocols and processes up to date * Collaborate with HR colleagues on various projects, communications and/or events in HR and across campus * Learn and work with the latest HR tools/systems * Perform generalized HR tasks as needed * Provide customer service to staff and faculty * Create reports, presentations, graphics and audio as needed for special projects Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned. May assist in other functional areas of HR as needed. Examples of Project Work for Past Interns: * Assisted in the RSVP and communications for Faculty events. * Created pieces for monthly Wellness at Work communications. * Completed employment verifications daily. * Assisted in serving as a consultative partner with HR Consultants to departments to facilitate resolution of employee relations issues. * Updated the MCW Professionalism Toolkit. * Performed in-person interviews for Talent Acquisition Consultants. * Redesigned content for internal and external webpages for the Office of Faculty Affairs. Proficiency in MS Office required Specifications Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Must have at least junior standing in a Bachelors Degree program in Human Resources, Business or related field.
