  • Responsibilities

    The incumbent in this position will be responsible to provide operational and strategic leadership for the El Paso Children’s Hospital (EPCH) Physician Specialty Clinic. Directs, plans, and evaluates patient care services the Physician Specialty Clinic. Responsible to assure the highest level of service for guests and staff to proactively support the efforts that will ensure delivery of safe patient care, services while promoting a safe environment at the Physician Specialty Clinic. Assigned functional areas include but are not limited to the Physician Specialty Clinic.  Responsible for the strategic planning and general oversight of all departments within the clinic and works collaboratively with each department’s leader to provide seamless patient care with each specialty.

    7. Ability to foster and implement team-building strategies.
    8. Skill in the use of computer systems and related software applications.
    9. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
    10. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

    Required Experience

    A.  WORK EXPERIENCE

    1. Three year’s clinical nursing leadership experience in pediatrics or related nursing field.

        

    B.  LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

    1. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
    2. BLS CPR.
    3. PALS, ACLS or APLS required.
    4. Nursing Executive Leadership Certification required or obtained within three years of being in position, unless attending classes to obtain a higher degree in Nursing.

    C.  EDUCATION AND TRAINING

    Master's Degree in Nursing or similar discipline required.
