Masters degree in social work or related field, with experience
providing crisis intervention with psychiatrically impaired populations.
- Bachelors degree in social work or a related field from an accredited
college or university. * One year of experience working with
psychiatrically impaired populations. * Must be eligible for agency
affiliation in the state of Washington. * Ability to perform all
clinician duties and responsibilities. * Ability to work within the
agencys structure, to relate constructively to colleagues and community,
and to use professional guidance and supervision. * Sensitivity to
individuals unique cultural characteristics, and to the challenges faced
by the socioeconomically disadvantaged. * Must complete Motivational
Interviewing training as provided by the agency. QUALIFICATIONS: To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty satisfactorily. Effective communication and
interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills are needed. Knowledge of
behavioral health symptoms and suicide/homicide risk assessments are
required. Knowledge of community resources is necessary to assist
individuals and families with viable resources. Must have a car
available or transportation acceptable to FBH. The requirements listed

pass the requisite law enforcement background check due to exposure and
access to confidential information. Job Description Summary The
clinician is a member of a ride along team with the Spokane Police
Department. Services are provided to individuals and families of all
ages with a focus on providing assistance to Trueblood class members.
Trueblood class members are individuals who have been court ordered for
a competency evaluation and/or restoration. The primary goals of the
ride along team are to divert individuals from jail, emergency
departments and inpatient psychiatric treatment. The Team will respond
to any calls received by the officer. They will, using Motivational
Interviewing, provide rapid response, assessment services, crisis
intervention, engagement, supportive counseling, information and
referral, linkage to requested/necessary resources and appropriate
community-based mental health and chemical dependency services for
ongoing treatment and follow-up to individuals and families of all ages
in community based settings. The Team work a modified day shift based on
