    We are searching for the best talent for Global Planning Co-Op to be in Gurabo, PR.

    • The typical Co-op term is from January to December, 2026.
    • Full time requirement (40 hours per week).

    Purpose:

    The incumbent is responsible to make significant improvements in the Global Planning or assigned areas by the use of best practices and methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma). This includes the execution of projects and contributing to Gurabo supply chain, continuous improvement environment and promote lean culture. Work in conjunction with operations support groups and transactional areas to reduce cost, reduce inventory and create flow aligned to customer demand by eliminating non value added activities. Support the organization in any initiative to improve processes through; kaizen teams, 6S, dashboards, scorecards, visual aids, standard works, time studies, lean problem solving exercises, etc.

    You will be responsible for:

    The incumbent is responsible to execute projects using continuous improvement methodologies. Engage people thru kaizen teams, trainings, improvement ideas generation, and other improvement activities. Support the maintenance of site dashboards, scorecards, visuals, etc. Contribute in departmental goals such as: create/update database, assist on trainings, certification programs, education material, among others. Manage cost improvement / cost avoidance initiatives in the following areas:

    Scheduling Activities

    • Project - Weighing Rythm wheel
    • Main Responsibilities - Data mining, JJPS project owner, and deployment
    • Project Description - Build rhythm wheel for weighing area that aligns with mfg plan and reduce risk of hold time excursion

    Purchasing Activities

    • Project - Purchase order confirmation
    • Main Responsibilities - Clerical, Transcend support, data mining, and deployment
    • Project Description - Develop a short term tool to track PO deliveries, internal OTIF, and work with control tower to prepare purchase order confirmation in transcend.

    Planning Activities

    • Project - Large Molecule BOM integration
    • Main Responsibilities - Clerical, document creation, and routing
    • Project Description - Review all BOMs to confirm quantity consumption and include critical excipients used in process in the BOM (ie. NaOH)

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.
    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Management or a related field.
    • Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
    • Statistical Process Control course, training or equivalent.
    • Business Excellence methodology course, training or equivalent.
    • Previous Internship/Coop and/or Academic Research experience preferred. Previous work experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields of research is a plus. Extracurricular experience such as a student association membership on a related field is a must.
    • The position requires employee to be fluent in Spanish and English and must have excellent ability to write in English and Spanish; must exercise judgment on the resolution of production problems to meet company standards for quality, cost and critical success factors.
    • The position requires being proficient in the use of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Minitab statistical software knowledge is highly desirable. Basic Statistical and cost analysis skills are highly desirable.
    • Statistical skills, Power BI, Lean - Six Sigma (yellow belt), product planning course is a plus.
    • Works effectively and collaboratively with cross functional areas. Ability to assess issues and opportunities, establish priorities, takes ownership and act with a sense of urgency. The candidate must show sense of urgency, initiative, team work and collaboration and Integrity & Credo Based Actions.
    • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
