SUMMARY The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for managing the regular bi-weekly payroll and off-cycle processes to ensure accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will support ancillary departments such as Human Resources, Accounting, Information Systems, Nursing, Operations, and etc. as it pertains to payroll functions/regulations. Responsibilities include managing payroll activities on a day-to-day basis, including prioritization, resolution of complex processing issues, and other related tasks. Review and analyze payroll practices/procedures/policies in order to recommend process improvements and strengthen internal controls. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by ensuring compliance with sensensative payroll data. This position will assist in testing and documenting system updates and changes related to payroll processing-Kronos and PeopleSoft HCM. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR or related field is required. Three (3) years experience in processing full-cycle payrolls, including year-end process. Three (3) years PeopleSoft HCM or compatible ERP application work experience required. Three (3) years previous healthcare and supervisory experience preferred. Three (3) years experience in payroll tax analyzes and error resolutions. Experience in Kronos time & attendance system. Service orientation to meet the needs of the associates, managers, and business partners. Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of tools (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required. Customers focus skills. Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong problem solving and process improvement skills.
