    Assists the Facilitator in the supervision and coordinates the work activities of a group of employees on assigned shift who are engaged in device assembling parts into finished products in an assigned manufacturing line.

    Responsibilities:

    • Under limited direction of the Facilitator, provides administrative and operational support to assigned manufacturing lines.
    • Coordinate associates training for compliance with all regulatory, corporate, and local policies.
    • Production data entry as required in a timely manner to ensure compliance with production metrics.
    • Support the supervisor by monitor performance for established manufacturing line(s) on a given shift, ensuring optimal use of equipment, personnel attendance, and materials. This will require incumbent to spend approximately 95% of the time on the manufacturing floor.
    • Actively participate and support safety initiatives within the facility, such as emergency response, ergonomics, safe behavior program, etc.
    • Ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department.
    • Support the sustainability of Lean Initiatives with participation in Continuous Improvement Projects.
    • Notify Facilitator of any personnel or production situations for further investigation or action.
    • When required, assist Facilitator in the investigation and documentation of a Nonconformance, using Ethicon PLM System. (NCR’s & PCR’s/change control system).
    • Must be able to update procedures using the Ethicon Change Control system.
    • Monitor Planning activities to achieve optimum manufacturing flow.
    • Consistently collaborate with other employees by promoting teamwork and demonstrating respect, equity, and inclusion in day-to-day activities.
    • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12 hours daily shifts, including weekends and holidays.

    Qualifications - Internal

    • Associate Degree is required, Bachelor's preferred (Science, Engineering or Business Administration major) or equivalent is preferred.
    • Minimum of four (4) years of manufacturing process experience within the regulated industry required. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered, equivalent combination is a minimum of high school degree plus at least eight (8) years of experience.
    • Proficient in computer skills and use of software application(s) is required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to facilitate meetings is required.
    • Requires initiative and assertiveness abilities.
    • Experience in the manufacturing environment is required.
    • English Proficient; must be able to read, write and speak is required.
    • Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, 4th shift and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.
