    Johnson & Johnson, Vision Jacksonville, FL is recruiting for a Group Leader Distribution, located in Jacksonville, FL.

    Manages, coordinates, and controls the distribution and warehousing of products within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Distribution Department. Supervises and provides leadership to the Distribution Associates and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Provides safety guidelines and training for Distribution associates to ensure adheresen to environmental, safety, and ergonomic policy and procedures. Lead and support projects initiatives to improve Warehouse and Distribution Vision business results and customer satisfaction.
    Adheres to Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures and supports department objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Direct, control and facilitate projects relating to Warehouse and Distribution.
    2. Handle and resolve complex operational issues and assist in developing process changes to improve efficiencies to support business goals and objectives.
    3. Supervise day to day activities, lead, and coach associates. Provide development and performance management.
    4. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards.
    5. Communicate and collaborate with enterprise DELIVER, global DELIVER Vision partners, MAKE, IT, and other Vision Care business partners.
    6. Develop strategies / work plans to guide our 3PL operations, coaches and provides leadership to Associates.
    7. Plans, directs, and implements actions to improve Distribution's order processing and completion of daily orders.
    8. Provides written and verbal communication such as status reports, progress reports and documentation to Distribution Management, Associates and Business Partners.
    9. Reviews process results in the areas of productivity, safety, quality, cost and staffing / work schedules and initiates changes to ensure department goals are met.
    10. Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
    11. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

    Education:

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; a master or advanced degree is preferred.

    • Minimum of 2+ years of related experience is required in Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Engineering.

    • Minimum of 2+ years people management experience is required in a high-volume distribution environment and experience managing a large wage workforce is preferred.

    Experience and Skills:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
    • Must have strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • Must have excellent collaboration, customer service and oral/written communication skills.
    • Experience partnering with all levels of management in a cross-functional team environment is required.
    Preferred:
    • Experience with Process Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
    • Experience in GMP or FDA regulated environment is preferred.
    • Knowledge of SOX audit initiatives is preferred.
    • ERP systems experience and SAP experience is preferred.
    • Experience with Warehouse Management systems, i.e., Red Prairie, Manhattan, and SAP are preferred.
    • Experience with warehouse powered industrial safety is preferred.
