    Position: Electro Mechanical Assembler

    Hamilton Company is a proud participant of the NevadaWorksTogether program. A statewide initiative to retrain displaced workers for a new career in Manufacturing. You will undergo online and on-site training while you are earning a paycheck. At the successful completion of the program you will earn a Manufacturing Technician 1 Certificate and be on the pathway to your new career.

     

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    As supervised by EMA leads and/or EMA supervisor, this team member assembles and tests electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Assemble simple to sophisticated laboratory fluid handling equipment and robots.
    2. Assemble and test product in accordance with written assembly procedures according to blueprint and schematics and/or other instructions.

    3. Set up and operate fixtures, tooling, and the various assembly machines and aids in the EMA area.

    4. Work in a production environment assembling mechanical laboratory devices.

    5. Use common test equipment, including voltmeters and specific product testers.

    6. Assist in training of other department personnel.

    7. Ability to work with/in other departments as needed.

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):


    1. Proficient with the use of common hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery
    2. Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, high efficiency, and ability to follow process instructions.

    3. Ability to read drawings and procedures, and explain these items to team members and engineers.

    4. Ability to work with other people in a manufacturing environment.

    5. Ability to work with computers.

    6. Good eye/hand coordination and strong attention to detail are required.

    7. Position requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work may involve sitting most of the time.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1. High School diploma or equivalent
    2. One to two years minimum experience in the assembly and testing of small mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.

     

    Spill Response team:

     If you are selected to work on the Spill Response team your duties will also include:

     Duties would include, labeling of the hazardous waste drums, maintaining the 90 day accumulation waste area as well as the satellite accumulation areas in their building or area. Assuring the drums from the Satellite accumulation areas are moved to the 90 day accumulation area when they are full. Training includes the 8-hour sight specific spill response and hazwoper training.

    Pay:  $16 pr/hr and up base on experience and education
