    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Hawaii Behavioral Health is seeking a Mental Health Therapist (“MHT”) to provide behavior support services to families and children with severe emotional disturbances by engaging the child and family in therapeutic services as well as case management when appropriate. MHT will follow a strengths-based model that will help develop and build skills to help the child and family function autonomously and successfully.

    Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

    Location: Oahu, Big Island, Maui, Kauai

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Utilize person-centered approach to create and implement youth's therapeutic treatment plan
    • Work with families and youth regarding issues that impact psychological or emotional problems such as stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, family situations or any other mental health issues that might be affecting the child's ability to function successfully in home, education, and community settings
    • Implement each youth's therapeutic treatment plan and oversees the treatment plan
    • Fulfill monthly supervision, training, and record submissions requirements

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Master's degree in social work, psychology or other related discipline (LMHC, LMFT)
    • At least two years prior experience working in the behavioral health field
