    Johnson & Johnson Global Public Health, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a Health Economics & Market Access Research Intern.  The mission of Johnson & Johnson Global Public Health is to make relevant innovations that save lives, cure patients, prevent disease, and strive to be available, affordable, and accessible for underserved populations. This mission is accomplished by addressing high unmet medical need for underserved populations, delivering product-centered innovation that will transform outcomes, and demonstrating the value of our innovation to scale and deliver financial sustainability.

     

    The Health Economics & Market Access Research (HEMAR) Team of Johnson & Johnson Global Public Health develops evidence and shapes policy to accelerate the pace of innovation for the world's most underserved people, families and communities. Our team is cross functional and works across the various disease focus areas within Johnson & Johnson Global Public Health.

     

    The Health Economics & Market Access Research Intern will:

    • Develop an in depth understanding of the disease focus areas so that they can effectively contribute to the projects.
    • Assist the team with evidence development for economic models and policy strategy.
    • Perform PubMed database searches and literature reviews.
    • Work independently as well as directly with members of the HEMAR Team and other members within Global Public Health.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, preferably pursuing a degree in Public Health, Economics, Engineering, or another STEM field with a special interest in global public health and addressing the needs of the world’s most underserved people.
    • Candidates must be available to work Full-time.
    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future. 
    • Demonstrated leadership is preferred.
    • Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
    • Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
    • Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel (including a high proficiency with generating pivot tables and graphs), and Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Additional technical competencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems are highly desirable, as is experience with PubMed databases and other literature databases.
    • Candidates with academic and/or industrial clinical trial experience are strongly preferred.
    • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
    • Participation in campus/community service activities is desired.
