    Job Description

    To be fully engaged in demonstrating Health First’s Value Promise, providing product excellence, Customer delight and Stewardship when providing preliminary financial and operational analysis inclusive of all HF IDN entities, including Ambulatory Care Centers. The Business Analyst is a member of the corporate strategy and service line team and supports data analysis to identify and quantify opportunities to enhance clinical, strategic, and operational standardization. In addition to analyzing data will investigate and resolve problems, provide technical support and training for systems & software, and apply existing technology to enhance operations.

     

    PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

    1. Research, develop, and communicate data-driven business cases, for presentations to strategy and service line leadership, summarizing community needs, services, and opportunities for growth, as well as risk.

    2. Support ongoing strategic and service line projects data reporting, financial analysis, and business case development under the supervision and in support of strategy leadership.

    3. Develop proposals and presentations using internal and external resource materials, such as databases, reports, presentations, white papers, etc. for the review by strategy and service line leadership.

    4. Support the development of business cases, in coordination with other IDN stakeholders, for new business ventures, partnerships, and services.

    5. Actively support the Strategic Business Redesign process, participating in cross-functional sub-work groups as assigned.

    6. Work with finance colleagues to develop proformas to support strategic and service line projects.

    7. Assist in client and vendor relationships and serve as department liaison as assigned.

    8. Lead strategic and service line projects as assigned or when necessary.

    9. Develop scorecards/dashboards to assess performance against industry best practices (e.g., volumes, financials).

    10. Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

    • Work Experience: Three years in Health Administration, Finance, or Data Analytics

    • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    •  Technology - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database applications (specifically Microsoft   Excel and PowerPoint)
    •  Industry Knowledge – knowledge of strategy and/or market concepts
    •  Time Management – plan and prioritize work, requests, and projects to meet budget and planned or   changing deadlines
    •  Adaptable – able to muti-task requests and projects; shift priorities as needed based on leader request   or business need
    •  Communication – oral, written, and auditory; able to obtain important information from others to produce   desired goal and/or outcome
    •  Analysis – source, review, assess and present finding with recommendations on next steps to assist   leaders in achieving business objectives
    •  Presentation or Facilitation – able to manage diverse audience while presenting and draw different   viewpoints from participants
