This position will oversee employee and vendor communication regarding enrollment, invoicing and terminations and all related HR system data entry necessary for the administration of the benefit plans. Responsibilities Principal Responsibilities and Duties These statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered a detailed description of work requirements that may be involved. Responsible for accurate interpretation of all benefit programs (to include but not limited to Health, Dental, 401k, PTO, and Flexible Spending Accounts) to leaders and Associates. Effectively communicates benefit programs to leaders, HR Team members and Associates to ensure timely resolution to questions and issues. Oversees benefit program communication and enrollment process for new and newly eligible Associates. Uses multiple vehicles and forums to ensure Associates receive timely communication on enrollment procedures, deduction information and federally and state mandated documents required for compliance. Responsible for the annual enrollment process and communications to Associates, leaders, HR Team members and vendor systems. Documents benefit program processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws. Provides guidance regarding the interpretation of Federal laws pertaining to benefit program administration. Ensures terminations and reductions in status are handled appropriately so COBRA notifications, health plan continuation notices under ACA and offboarding communications are generated timely. Monitors communications between us, our COBRA vendor and Associates to ensure it is administered correctly. Ensure that all insurance deductions are turned on and entered in the HRIS system, to include 401k contributions and loans, when an Associate becomes eligible and turned off upon termination. Handles the communication with payroll if deductions need to be made up or reimbursed. Serves as the point of contact for benefit vendors and third party administrators. Quickly and completely resolves administrative issues with these vendors. Ensures accuracy of all insurance billing by verifying and approving the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies. Maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs to assist with annual budgeting process. Participates in the design, development and delivery of Company-wide benefit program communications. Perform other related assignments, as required relating to the benefit programs. Qualifications Requires knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources, particularly those related to benefit programs. Knowledge and understanding of Company policies and applicable laws and regulations is also required. Typically commensurate with 1 3 years of HR experience. Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, can handle various demands and unexpected events. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completion Strong communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally in all situations with varying personalities of customers, Associates and leaders. Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive, confidential, and emotional issues Prioritizes work activities to ensure all tasks are completed and issues resolved in a timely manner Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel Must be able to remain seated for extended periods of time Bachelors degree in human resources, business or related subject required No licensure or certifications required.
