Job Summary TheCommitment Analyst is responsible for managing the complex process of tierassignments on all Physician Preference and tiered agreements for allHealthTrust members. The Commitment Analyst is responsible for training anddirecting both the Contract Managers/Directors and the vendor representativeson appropriate contract structure and system requirements. This process is often controversial andrequires excellent negotiation and communication skills. The Commitment Analyst interfaces regularlywith customers and vendors and is required to direct and expedite criticalproblem resolution. Duties (included but not limited to): Interpret contract terms and intentions and translate into operationalelements that members can implement. Often this requires complex negotiation with the vendor andcontract managers/directors. Train all users for the various roles they perform in the electronic letterof commitment systems (Collaboration Portal and iCommit). This includes members, vendors and internalusers. Evaluate system and pricing issues and expedite problem resolution. This often requires creative solutions due tosystem limitations and inadequacies. Responsible for performing analysis related to member group or companyreorganizations and identifying required actions to ensure smooth transitions. Create, maintain and revise legal templates for Letter of Commitments. Create, revise and maintain all negotiated LOCs for all Med/Surg, Customand Pharmacy tiered contracts Representapproximately 6000 HealthTrust Members in handling complaints and disputes in resolving LOC/pricing issues. Works closelywith the communications team to coordinate final details for the LOCs beforepublishing. Involved in long term system planning and requirements for new systemsimplementations Continually formulate and revise all operating procedures in theCommitment Analyst department. Job Requirements Bachelors degree preferred, but experience may substitute. 3-5 years experience in aposition that is customer focused and allows analytical skills to be utilized. Healthcare industry knowledge is a plus.
