    Physical Therapist Intern HRRMC's Rehab Department has an opening for a Full Time Physical Therapist Intern positoin. This postion will include weekend shifts and will be scheduled to work 36-40 hours weekly. Appy on line at hrrmc.com SUMMARY Physical Therapist Interns provide patients of the Medical Center with services at the preventive, acute and rehabilitative stages directed toward achieving increased functional independence and decreased functional decline and the need for more intensive care. Through timely and appropriate intervention, they frequently reduce or eliminate the need for costlier forms of care such as surgery and may also shorten or even eliminate institutional stays. The Physical Therapist Intern provides care and services under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist during their yearlong internship. The supervising physical therapist must perform records review and co-signature of notes. Direct Supervision requires that the physical therapist is physically present on the premises and in the same building as the Physical Therapist Intern. Provides direct supervision of aides and assistants. 8. Assists in transferring of patients; teaches patients and other staff proper transferring technique. 9. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times, discussing patient or hospital business only when appropriate and necessary to provide quality patient care. 10. Employs tact and courtesy at all times, with patients, physicians, visitors and co-workers. Continually strives to establish and maintain good rapport and working relationships to foster positive intra- and interdepartmental communications. 11. Observes all hospital and departmental policies and procedures; follows all hospital and departmental safety rules. 12. Participates in in-service training as requested by department director. Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE The Physical Therapist Intern must have completed training in accordance with minimum essential for physical therapy schools as prescribed by Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of American Medical Association. He/she must graduate from an AMA-APTA approved school of physical therapy. The Physical Therapist Intern must be a member or eligible for membership in the American Physical Therapy Association or American Registry of Physical Therapy, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 1. Current CPR Certification. 2. Current Colorado drivers license; must provide proof of current automobile liability insurance.
