Title: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: Federal Way, WA

Overview: We are in need of a full time Occupational Therapist at our outpatient multi-disciplinary clinic located in Federal Way, WA. This opportunity can include mentorship in hand therapy, with an experienced CHT. We are looking for someone who is responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. You will help these patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Assist in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department. New grads are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine their physical condition, limitations, medical histories and personal goals
• Communicate with physicians and other health care providers to confirm plans of care
• Advise family members and other supportive individuals about the level of care the patient needs
• Provide occupational therapy guidance, support and education during patient sessions
• Teach patients how to interact with adaptive technology
• Show patients how to use assistive devices
• Recommend purchase products to help them achieve their goals
• Guide patients through graded activities
• Generate reports for patients and their physicians and families

Education & Experience:

• Current state OT license is required
• Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in occupational therapy required
• At least one year of experience in an outpatient setting
