Come and join our Perioperative (OR) StaRN Residency Program! We invite new graduate RN's and Experienced Nurses to apply for this unique opportunity. The next program is anticipated to begin on Monday September 24, 2018. **S**pecialty **T**raining **A**pprenticeship for **R**egistered **N**urses The StaRN program is 23 Weeks of Intensive Training and Education, PAID Nurse Residency program and includes: * Over 60 hours of hands on skills lab training * ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS / ACLS Certification * Meditech Training and Validation

    • 41.7 CEU Hours * AORN Student Membership Phase 1: StaRN Training First 11 Weeks: * Instructor-led classroom training * AORN Perioperative 101: A Core Curriculum * Paid training all nurses will be paid * State-of-the-art simulation including comprehensive debriefs * Meditech Training and Validation * The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, with 40 hour work weeks (8 hour days) ** *Part 2: StaRN Clinical Preceptorship Last 12 Weeks (clinical preceptorship):* ** * Conducted at hospital * Paid training * You will be assigned a preceptor specifically for you; to train you and get you acclimated to your role * Regular development meetings between the resident, their preceptor and their Director * The schedule is typically three (3) 12 hour shifts at the hospital Who is eligible:
    • New Graduate Registered Nurse * Registered Nurse with more than two years RN experience preferred Requirements: * Current Florida RN licensure * Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, within past 2 years is preferred * Program acceptance requires a minimum two (2) year, full-time commitment to the hospital.
