Assumes responsibilities for non-technical duties such as clerical, transportation, receptionist, etc. Is capable of producing excellent imaging balancing quality and quantity while giving good patient care. The Technologist is aware of proper technique and Radiation safety. Understands the various policy and procedure manuals of hospital and department. Demonstrates proficiency in field and is competent according to their license/registry. Maintains a professional appearance and observes patient confidentiality and modesty while maintaining a positive, friendly attitude. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports To: Director Diagnostic Imaging Supervises: None ** ** Radiology Technician PRN PRN/Varied Radiology Diagnostic Position Requirements: Licensure/ Certification/Registration: * Certified Registered Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required and mandatory. * American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) preferred, but not mandatory. * All technologists employed at West Hills hospital will be required to get their fluoroscopy certification before they can expose a patient to x-ray in the fluoroscopy mode. * Fluoroscopy certification preferred. * BCLS certification required. Experience: * One-year experience preferred.
