Clerical Support HOUSING PRESERVATION & DVLPMNT 3 reviews - New York, NY $35,683 - $59,385 a year The Office of Enforcement and Neighborhood Services works closely with other HPD divisions and outside community partners to identify buildings with violation problems, assess and develop appropriate strategies to address those properties, and work closely with responsible owners to develop a plan to improve conditions and return buildings to firm financial footing and physical health. HPD uses enforcement tools within the Division of Code Enforcement, Housing Litigation Division, Emergency Repair Program or the Division of Special Enforcement to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.Key responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Division of Maintenance ?s Emergency Repair Program, the selected candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: ? Performing difficult and responsible clerical data entry work related to emergency inspections performed by Construction Project Managers; ? Assisting with the routing, tracking of violations and OMOs to inspectors in order for them to scope the work needed to repair the emergency hazardous conditions and monitor the contract repairs;? Ensuring that emergency repairs are completed in privately-owned residential buildings and for monitoring vendor repair work in both privately-owned and city-owned buildings; ? Researching landlord and/or property owner information via various Citywide Tracking systems; ? Maintaining office records and provides general Enforcement Services information in response to telephone inquiries, as well as public assistance on emergency inspections and status of violations;? Serving as liaison between vendors and ERP as it relates to Local Law 1 Lead OMOs to remediate emergency conditions in privately owned buildings. ? Experience in working with Windows applications.? Bilingual and possession of good communication skills.? Candidates may be assigned to any office within the 5 boroughs and may be assigned to work evenings and weekends. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or 2.
