Maintenance Mechanic Department: Plant Engineering Schedule: Full Time Shift: 8:00a - 4:30p Hours: 80 hours per pay period Salary: H11 - $15.35 + commensurate with experience Job Details: Under general supervision, performs various duties related to repairs, replacement and general maintenance of equipment and fixtures located at Houston Medical Center and its related buildings. High school diploma or GED equivalent; Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility and/or building maintenance (or related); or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities for this position; valid state driver's license; utilizes a variety of equipment to include grinder, drill press, pressure washer, generator, band saw, power and hand tools, hospital vehicles, and some medical equipment. Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
