  • Responsibilities

    The IT Project Analyst Intern is primary responsibility is ensuring policies and standards for in-house programs and projects; cross functional project management support and coordination, and business support functions. The Project Analyst is responsible for project and financial support activities including schedule and resource coordination, meeting management, communication of progress, and generation of financial reports. They support a Senior IT Project Manager with project administration and process improvements. They assist Senior IT Project managers on larger more complex projects and are responsible for definition, development, and delivery of small to mid-size IT related projects.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Works collaboratively with functional leads to document and analyze IT projects.
    • Creates and maintains project schedules by helping to develop project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts.
    • Responsible for monthly reporting activities, project communication, and supporting documentation
    • Attends or coordinates project meetings
    • Meets with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
    • Meets with appropriate personnel for periodic review of development and final products.
    • Responsible for developing and updating various types of project documentation: i.e., project charters, communication plans, project schedules, issue logs, etc.
    • Updates information in ServiceNow related to the project
    • Acts as the single point of contact for assigned projects, as warranted.
    • Takes small projects from concept through full implementation and control.
    • Coordinates interaction and communication between project teams.
    • Identifies and coordinates assignment of internal and external resources to meet project requirements.
    • Works closely with business partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or business processes.
    • Able to serve as a liaison between business and IT to document business and / or technical requirements.
    • Takes projects from concept through full implementation and control.
    • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. (Internships are not intended for graduating seniors).
    • 3-6 credit hours in Project Management
    • 3 credit hours in an Analysis course

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
    • Knowledge and some experience with MS Project or MS Visio
