As a Recreation Specialist for the Hays House residential facility, you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by coordinating and implementing the therapeutic recreational activities for the youth in our care. Every member of the IYR works to contribute to the Programs and Services in their own way to make them accessible to all youth who need those services in Idaho. Must Haves: o Must be 21 years of age o Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire o Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience Our Recreation Specialists: o Identifies recreational interests for each youth and develops the recreational section of the Service/Treatment Plan o Creates and develops class outlines which focus on treatment goals o Works with team members and residents to manage the upkeep of their facility, equipment, and other assets As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program.
