  • Responsibilities

    As the Shredder Operator you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating the industrial garbage shredder and all related equipment Responsibilities • Set up, tend, and operate machines used to crush material waste • Thoroughly inspect equipment and structure to identify the cause of errors or defects • Maintain an organized and safe staging area • Monitoring the processes, materials, and surroundings to detect or assess problems • Maintaining open communication with supervisors and peers • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work Must Haves • Must have high school diploma or equivalent • Ability to successfully complete and adhere to the strict safety guidelines related to industrial shredder operations • Previous distribution center or warehouse experience preferred • Must be able to work with little supervision • Previous forklift experience preferred • Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis • Ability to work in varied weather conditions • Must have basic math, reading and writing skills Physical Requirements, Mental, Equipment & Working Condition Elements: • Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment temperatures 0 – 100 F • Potential hazards exist regarding machinery such as forklifts, pallets jacks, conveyors, and other mechanized systems. • Candidate must be able to regularly safely lift 40 lbs. • Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable ranges. • The position involves repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift, including standing and walking and repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting • Safety equipment, gloves, closed toed shoes are required Skills/Talents You’ve got passion.
