As our Family and Community Specialist for the IYR you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by serving as an integral function as part of the residential and outpatient care teams. Must Haves: o Bachelor's degree in Human Services, education or related field o Experience with MS Office and basic use of all office equipment (multi-line phone, computer, copier, printer, fax, postage machine, etc.) o Ability to develop good working relationships with clients, community and contract agencies o Skill in effective group facilitation Our Family and Community Specialists: o Manages clients assigned to their caseload, including regular visits to family homes and connections to community supports o Works with youth who are “aging out” of state care to ensure successful transition from program into independent living, and follow-up with youth post discharge o Provides parent/guardian/caregiver education and skill building classes o Works closely with the Alumni program and connect youth and families to appropriate services As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program.
