Position Summary
The Individual Giving & Digital Fundraising Specialist plays a vital role in driving sustainable revenue through online and passive giving programs. This tech-savvy and highly organized fundraiser is responsible for managing online giving platforms, executing donor campaigns, coordinating donor communications, and supporting fundraising events.
Working alongside the Corporate Giving & Events Specialist, under the direction of the Director of Philanthropy, this role maintains all aspects of individual online giving, with an emphasis on growing the monthly donor program while cultivating online community engagement and donor relationships. The Individual Giving & Digital Fundraising Specialist plays a key role in achieving Share's fundraising goals and deepening supporter engagement. As part of a collaborative Development Team, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on creativity, data analysis, and building meaningful donor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Online Fundraising
Create email series, e-blasts, social media content, and donation landing pages in collaboration with the Community Relations Director.
Build and maintain donor journeys for new donors, recurring supporters, and lapsed givers in NEON , Share's CRM system
Optimize and expand monthly giving and workplace giving campaigns.
Maintain and update profiles across giving platforms (e.g., Facebook, Greater Giving, NEON , etc. ).
Donor Stewardship & Relationship Building
Manage donor acknowledgement communications including thank-you emails, handwritten notes, and year-end tax forms.
In coordination with Director of Philanthropy, exercise stewardship strategies such as impact reporting, drop in gifts, and appreciation calls.
Gift Processing & Data Management
In tandem with Corporate Giving and Events Specialist :
Oversee mail distribution to ensure all donations are accounted for
Process donations of all kinds, issue receipts, ensure accurate entry into NEON and Greater Giving , and send check reports to finance department
Monitor and resolve failed transactions, duplicate accounts, and data integrity issues.
Maintain up-to-date dashboards and reports for internal fundraising performance.
Pull mailing/email lists and generate reports as needed for appeals, newsletters and outreach campaigns.
Events & Community Engagement
Assist Corporate Giving and Events Specialist with planning and execution of Share's fundraising and stewardship events (e.g., gala, We Share, Answers, and Advocacy opportunities).
Attend external events to represent Share and engage current/prospective donors.
Communications & Content Creation
Capture photos of key events or donors and create graphics/flyers in collaboration with Community Relations Director.
Draft and post content on social media and assist in promoting Share's mission and fundraising goals online.
Collaborate with internal teams on cohesive messaging and branding for all donor-facing materials.
Create marketing content and materials designed for specific groups ( i.e., large print for the visually challenged, different languages for targeted business outreach, etc.).
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma
A minimum of five years of combined post-high school education and/or relevant job experience working with non-profits, fundraising, donation solicitation, or community event planning, etc.
Ability to maintain client and donor confidentiality, accuracy, and donor-centered professionalism
Strong organizational skills, time-management skills, and project-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance and to work occasional nights and weekends as necessary or required
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check
Preferred:
Demonstrated success using social media/on-line technologies to manage both new and established fundraising communication and marketing initiatives
A degree in related and/or relevant fields such as non-profit administration, fundraising, marketing, business administration, etc.
Two years of specific non-profit fundraising experience or donor relationship management experience.
Written and verbal proficiency in a language other than English.
Experience working with one or more of the following CRM programs: NEON, Greater Giving, Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, or other related and/or relevant software programs.
Knowledge of DEI principles and experience working with diverse communities
