Essential Functions: The Access Center Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: *Conducts pre-admission screening assessments with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics and communicates assessment data to health care providers *Compiles statistics regarding the number and type of referrals made to behavioral health programs and the disposition of each referral *Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the professionals and agencies that are involved in mental health issues *Participates in an on-call rotation to provide 24-hour, 7 day per week coverage for pre-admission screening assessments Accountability: The Access Center Specialist reports to the Clinical Manager Behavioral Health Services. Uses telephone and computer keyboard up to 6 hours per day. Sits most of the day. Must be able to drive in order to go to off-site locations to conduct assessments. Must be able to bend, lift and grasp in order to assist other staff in physically managing violent patients on an infrequent basis. Environmental Conditions: Low to moderate potential for exposure for infectious diseases, some of which could life threatening. High potential for physical danger from violent mentally ill patients and/or their families infrequently. May spend several hours of the day outdoors performing low to moderate physical activities and exercise during good weather. Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in behavioral health or human services related field and/or Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state * Masters degree and recognition as a licensed mental health professional in the State of Oklahoma preferred * 2 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting or Oklahoma mental health professional license * Must be able to communicate effectively in English **Primary Location: ** **Work Locations: ** **Organization: **INTEGRIS Health
