    We currently have one Summer Intern position in the Immunotoxicology Group (La Jolla, CA) to participate in studies focused on preclinical assessments of immune mechanistic safety. Experimental approaches include both in vitro and ex vivo pharmacology. The successful candidate will be familiar with a variety of basic laboratory techniques and experience working in a laboratory environment, including experience in cell culture, in vitro immunoassays, biochemical and cell-based assays

    This assignment offers an undergraduate or recent graduate the opportunity to work as part of a cross-functional team in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting. This direct exposure will allow the student to participate in the planning, execution, analysis and reporting of experiments under the guidance of experienced scientists. Interested candidates should have a strong desire to learn the drug development process and contribute to improving the health of people worldwide.

    • 2023 B.S./B.A. graduates and current undergraduate students working towards a degree in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences and other life science related fields of study may apply.

    • Hands-on laboratory experience with a documented track record of productivity is highly preferred.

    • Candidates must be self-motivated, reliable and have excellent problem solving skills.

    • Extensive PC based skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, GraphPad Prism and PowerPoint is required.

    • Qualified candidates must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and have strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

    • Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Candidates must have authorization to work in the US.
