13039 Requisition ID: req3157 Job Title: Clinical Therapy Intern Spring Sector: Community Development Employment Category: Intern Employment Type: Part-Time Location: USA-Phoenix, AZ Job Description Clinical Therapist Internship Description: Under the supervision of the Clinical Therapist, the intern will assist with the following: * Conduct intake along with individual, family, and group counseling to all assigned clients * Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs on client progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives * Refer clients to community resources or to specialists, as necessary * Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans * Assess clients for risk of suicide attempts * Arrange for interpreters for counseling sessions where needed * Complete and maintain required clinical documentation in a timely manner * Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client treatment * Attend weekly meetings with Clinical Therapist Supervisor * Conduct outreach programs/workshops, as assigned by supervisors * Provide consultation to staff, as needed * Perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities as requested * Work in both a standard office environment and a community-based environment. Qualifications Qualifications: * A current master's student in the Counseling program * Completion of departmental pre-internship requirements * Ability to work effectively with partners, colleagues, and clients in a cross-cultural, team based environment * Ability to present oneself in an appropriate personable and professional manner to clients and staff * Ability to be both consistent and flexible as circumstances warrant * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong computer skills * A positive attitude and a desire to learn * A vehicle, current drivers license and valid insurance is preferred but not required * Minimum of 16 hours a week with at least a 6 month commitment * Availability between Monday- Friday 9-5 pm Note: This internship is Unpaid ]]> 3157 USA-Phoenix, AZ
