    Pharmacist Intern - Pharmacy - Per Diem - 8 Hour - Days Pharmacy

    Interns assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy interns work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Interns interact with patients, family, and other health care providers as appropriate and under strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines. * Currently Enrolled School of Pharmacy - Accredited by ACPE - Required * College Level Coursework - Preferred * Experience in Healthcare - Acute Care - Preferred * PTCB - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board License - Required and * Maintains current licensure and provides appropriate documentation * Ability to work cooperatively with health system and pharmacy staff * Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals * Is able to work independently with minimal supervision or work under supervision/collaboration with pharmacist, pharmacy manager and/or pharmacy team members - Required * Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills * A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict time lines - Required * Adapts positively to changes in workload, workflows and work schedule * Accepts and provides constructive feedback in a professional manner * Knowledge of patient privacy Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules, federal/state regulations as they pertain to patient information privacy John Muir Health is a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care organization.
