    We are seeking a machinery controls system engineer to support U.S. Navy ship programs.  The main function of the candidate will be to provide lifecycle support of fielded Machinery Control Systems (MCS), including shipboard and test site support. Duties and responsibilities include:

    Lifecycle support of the supervisory machinery control system which includes, but is not limited to:

    1. Troubleshooting complex problems of all variants of fielded systems (microprocessor based control systems) both at test site and shipboard
    2. Review of technical documentation related to all variants of fielded systems and future fielded systems
    3. Provide test support for all variants of fielded systems at test site
    4. Provide shipboard software & hardware installation support of all variants of fielded systems at test site
    5. Provide technical input to the design of future MCS systems
    6. Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of fielded systems and future fielded systems
    7. Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

    1. Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures associated with industrial control systems
    2. Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
    3. Proficiency in the use of test tools associated with industrial control systems
    4. Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools associated with industrial control system troubleshooting
    5. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
    6. Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools
    7. Basic Technical writing ability
    8. Self-motivated able to work in a team environment

    ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:

    1. Experience with Versa Module Eurocard (VME) systems
    2. Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems

    Travel required could range from 10 - 25%

    Required Experience

    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required

    2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering or computer engineering as it pertains to control systems in an industrial environment
