The Senior Manager, Academic Health Systems Marketing will develop and oversee the execution of innovative strategies to cultivate customer relationships, create unique customer solutions, and enable competitiveness within the academic health system customer segment. This leader will collaborate with field sales, platform marketing, Strategic Customer Group, professional education, HEMA, Digital Solutions, Global Strategic Marketing, and R&D teams to deliver customized, customer-centric resources and solutions that deliver sustained, above market year-over-year growth. The Senior Manager, Academic Health System Marketing will assume responsibility for delivery against specified goals and objective, budgets, and timeframes, while adhering to all applicable healthcare compliance, regulatory, company policy, and legal expectations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with strategic and commercial partners (field sales, platform marketing, Strategic Customer Group, professional education, HEMA, Digital Solutions, Global Strategic Marketing, and R&D) to advance competitiveness and deliver sustained, above-market growth in the academic health system customer segment.
    • Lead an execution-focused, agile team focused on cultivating deep relationships with key thought-leading clinicians.
    • Refine the academic health system segmentation to prioritize targeting, increase organizational focus and accountability, and deliver financial commitments.
    • Collaborate with field sales and strategic customer group to customize account planning and tactics; secure resources necessary to support and supplement field sales activities.
    • Develop strong partnerships with professional education, platform marketing, Global Strategic Marketing, HEMA, and other internal organizations to refine, develop, and deploy a robust suite of value-added resources to advance the engagement with key academic health system leaders.
    • Work with commercial pricing teams to create unique pricing strategies and agreements.
    • Partner closely with Digital Solutions commercial leaders to refine and develop new strategies to accelerate the commercialization of surgical software solutions within academic health systems.
    • Manage key agency relationships - both ongoing and the search for / development of new creative agency relationships.
    • Maintain a team of engaged and high performing people including being responsible for the recruitment, development, coaching and overall performance and development of direct reports, and others.

    QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's Degree required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: REQUIRED:

    • 7 years relevant business experience in sales or marketing.
    • Surgical / healthcare sales or other operating room environment experience.
    • Deep understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem - trends, regulations, etc.
    • Ability to navigate and achieve business impact in a highly matrixed organization.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, project management, and organizational influence skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    PREFERRED:

    • 3 years marketing experience.
    • Management, supervisory, and/or project management experience in a cross functional environment.
    • Brand strategy experience.
    • Brand positioning experience.
    • Experience interacting with and/or leading selling or marketing teams within the academic health system market segment.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of brand marketing, customer segmentation, and marketing communications.
    • Experience preparing strategic briefs and resolving implementation roadblocks.
