    Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for Sr. Director, Digital Data Science Strategy & Operations. This position can be based in any J&J office in the U.S. or Europe and will report to the Supply Chain Enterprise Chief Data Officer. Remote work options in the U.S. may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company. Digital and data science underpin and accelerate everything we do across Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain (JJSC). By modernizing our core, increasing visibility, and investing in scalable and reusable data science platforms and products built on our modern digital stack, we are unlocking new channels for access to care, transparency and resilience for the patients, consumers, and customers we serve. JJSC Digital and Data Science (D&DS) team has been a leader in envisioning, developing, and deploying innovative data science products and platforms creating significant value across JJSC. D&DS capabilities and products include AI/Machine Learning, Optimization, Simulation and Digital Twin, IoT, Natural Language Processing, Image Analytics, and End-to-End Connected Visibility - all built with cutting-edge digital technology on modern platforms. These products and platforms have helped teams across JJSC empower our employees with deep insights and transform the ways we serve our customers. Our capabilities are engineered for scalability, running across the full lifecycle of data - data generation, ingestion, curation, analysis, visualization, data science, and connecting back to underlying applications for closed-loop implementation. This role functions as Chief of Staff and will drive the implementation of all governance processes to manage the portfolio of strategic programs and projects, including prioritization, resource allocation, and measurement against sector Supply Chain goals to ensure the business commitments are achieved. This Leader will implement standard best practices for project management, measurement, and prioritization. Strong knowledge of project, program and portfolio management processes, with an ability to coach and lead others is important. Communication, negotiation and influence skills are critical, as is the ability to work in a complex matrix across J&J and the segment Supply Chain network of internal and external partners. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: TECHNICAL

    • Lead technical assessment [Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Operational Research (OR) models, data models and architecture, and pipelines and systems architecture and integration] of third party tools (e.g. Planning and forecasting etc.).
    • Lead Monthly and Fortnightly meetings series: Document content development and managing meeting logistics.
      • Monthly Business Review: Product level.
      • Fortnightly ML/AI/OR model performance review: Product level.
      • Fortnightly applications and platforms performance review: Product level.
    • Lead Quarterly Principal Peer Reviews of ML/AI/OR models: Develop internal and external partnerships (establish robust partnership in academia), develop principal peer review documents and manage meeting logistics, ensure code improvement feedback is incorporated into the code.
      • With internal J&J science teams.
      • With external academic partners (MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford etc.).

    FINANCIAL

    • Bottoms up business planning process at product level.
    • Developing projected benefits at product level and tracking planned benefits vs. actuals (monthly tracking).
    • Lead the LRFP for the D&DS organization.

    BUSINESS / COMMUNICATIONS

    • Business
      • Monthly D&DS LT meeting - Develop the document and manage meeting logistics.
      • Partner with the Data Science Council to develop any content needed from the D&DS team.
      • Own the end-2-end creation of documents for D&DS presentations with senior executives.
    • Communications
      • Collaborate with D&DL LT and the communications team to develop content for the quarterly D&DS townhall.
      • Collaborate with communications team to develop and disseminate the D&DS accomplishments with the wider organization.

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, Computer Science with a focus on data science / advanced analytics / data management or related field is required
    • MBA or Advanced degree in these fields is preferred

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a digital transformation or data management leader is required
    • Strong experience working in or with a global supply chain organization spanning across all functions (plan, source, make, deliver and quality) is preferred
    • Prior experience in consulting environment, or as a strategic support leader is beneficial
    • Ability to develop an in depth understanding of the Pharm and MedTech businesses is necessary; prior Healthcare / Life Sciences industry experience is helpful
    • Excellent communication and story-telling skills, able to take complex topics and simplify for broad audiences across levels is required. Experience working and communicating with senior executives is needed
    • Strong knowledge of project, program, and portfolio management processes
    • Strong understanding of end to end business and ability to unlock significant value in terms of strengthening operations, transforming customer experiences, generating cost saving, revenue lift, and margin improvement is required
    • Experience and track record in creating and deploying significant strategic programs
    • Proven ability to work cross functionally and build partnership to deliver results and influence change in a highly matrix organization across complex ecosystems
    • Proven ability to create content, processes, and tools to advance digital and data science capabilities
    • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and track business benefits, including calculating return on investment (ROI), P&L savings, cash flow impact, and other key business metrics in supply chain
    • Energetic, self-driven, passionate, accountable, keen on continuous learning
